Last month I had the total privilege of travelling with a group to Sicily to talk about photography as we explored Catania and the volcanic Island of Stromboli. Leading the tour was Monica Fritz (Alternative City Tours), a great photographer and guide, and a dear friend. A few years ago when I was getting to grips with the move from analogue to digital I started going on Monica’s walks in Istanbul to pick her brains. She has been a great support to me ever since and I was thrilled to collaborate on this tour. Getting the chance to be with a lovely group of people as we took pictures together, and then see their images while leading the reviews was a great learning experience for me too. I have always liked watching other photographers and wondering what they are seeing so it was great to travel with a group and seeing different perspectives through the images. Here are some of my favourite images taken by the workshop participants (and here are some of my own that I posted previously). I can’t wait to go back!
