I did October’s 30 minutes in Bern’s Botanical Gardens. Ville was in Switzerland for a conference and I joined him for the weekend. Having a couple of days that were only about us encouraged me to turn the camera on myself for some self-portraits (with Ville’s help!).
Next in the 30 Minutes in the Life blog circle is Hayley Hay, an incredible photographer who is usually in Switzerland but for this month’s post was in Brighton, close to my parent’s home in the UK!! If I wasn’t days away from flying to the UK myself she would have had me feeling very homesick indeed with her wonderful pictures of one of my favourite places. Good to see she that she got herself in the frame too.
Looks like a lovely fall day! I especially like the 2nd to last photo for your self portrait! 🙂

WOW!!! these are absolutely beautiful! i love that you got in some of the photos — very creatively, I might add! that first photo of the town is so lovely.
Love that you are capturing self-portraits and sharing more of yourself. You are inspiring me to do the same.
These are absolute perfection! Those autumnal tones, the pops of red, pink & orange! Those unique points of view..swoon!!! And then the self portraits, wow!!! Totally100% in awe of you my friend.
I love your photo’s Julia and so glad you got into some of them. You are braver than me. I especially love the image where you are reflected in the glass. I also love the top image with the view of the city. Awesome shots. My remembrance of Switzerland was the inside of a tent for 4 days. I got food poisoning as we left Italy and did not leave the tent other than to rush to the restroom. The doctor gave Richard antibiotics for me which really helped and I was able to see Germany instead.
