Over the last couple of years I have been attending a local photo club here in Istanbul. One of the best things about being a member is the chance to wander around interesting neighbourhoods with friends who understand why you are going so very slowly, or lurking on a corner. This week our trek was just on the other side of the Golden Horn (over the metro bridge) from us, in Ayvansaray. I have to admit that we walked for more than 30 minutes, and then went for lahmacun and soup in Balat. The morning was definitely another brick in the affection I am building for this complex, chaotic city.
This post is part of the 30 Minutes in the Life project. Lately our website has gone in some new directions and I am so proud of all the inspiration you can find there. Now follow round the blog circle to the marvellous Sharleen N Stuart Photography from South Florida…. and don’t stop there!
